From Burnham-on-Crouch, England to Oostende, Belgium.

This is by far the most challenging project I have undertaken. Across the channel on a windsurfer.

Windsurf Route

Tom is off windsurfing!!

Where? You may ask! Well, I’m off to Oostende In Belgium, starting in Burnham-on-Crouch (the mouth of the river).

The starting point will be exactly the Swin Spitway buoy, an easy marker to start from and where the sea really opens up for a nice straight LINE to Oostende.

The Challenge will be late summer 2015 plenty of time for training and fund raising so please help me to help others.

I will be raising money for the RNLI and the British Dyslexia Association, two organisations that are close to my heart.

BDA-logoTen percent (10%) of the population are dyslexic; 4% severely so. Many of the dyslexic people across the UK are unable to fulfil their potential as a large percentage of the population still do not understand what dyslexia is. Dyslexia is not an obvious difficulty; it is hidden.

The British Dyslexia Association is the voice of dyslexic people. They aim to influence government and other institutions to promote a dyslexia friendly society, that enables dyslexic people of all ages to reach their full potential.
